Magazine House Style Plan
Magazine House Style Plan
Most magazine have a specific "house style" that all of their issues follow. This can mean that the page numbers are presented the same, the same fonts are used, the table of contents is the same, etc. When my partner and I were looking through magazines for our research, we discovered that a specific magazine that we liked did not follow this usual rule. The Taste of Homes magazine did not seem to have any specific features in common with each other, besides the fact that they all contained food related articles. In each edition the table of contents, fonts, and articles were presented in a different way. My partner and I liked this and decided to follow the same plan for our magazine. While our main article fonts and font size will be the same, we plan to create different cover pages and table of contents. This way each issue of our magazine is a little different and gives the reader a surprise each time they grab a new edition.
