EDIBLE SARASOTA COOKS!
Edible Sarasota is a free magazine available in local restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, etc., that highlights Sarasota's local markets and restaurants. Their mission statement states that they "aim to connect consumers with these local growers, retailers, chefs, and food artisans, enabling those relationships to grow and thrive in a healthful, and economically viable way." Edible Sarasota claims that they are "part of a growing national movement throughout this country that is encouraging people to eat more locally-grown and locally-produced foods."

COVER PAGE
The cover page of this magazine highlights one of their main articles about Michael Saunders, a local real estate agent. The cover image is crisp and has very vibrant colors, that attract the reader. On the right hand side of the magazine the main article is displayed along with a few smaller ones. The use of the "+" to connect the article titles is a great addition. I like the way this is presented and plan to do something similar when recreating my copy.

TABLE OF CONTENTS
The way this table of contents is presented is very interesting. The background for the entire page is a whole picture with text on top of it. This makes the page look put together and eliminates white space in the background.

ARTICLES
The articles in this issue of Edible Sarasota have large half page pictures followed with the article itself. This catches the eye of the reader. By including pictures into the magazine, the reader assumes that there is less to read, or becomes interested in the article because of the pictures.

ADVERTISEMENTS
Advertisements included in this magazine are all for local restaurants. Because this magazine is free to the public, I think the company uses the advertisements to pay for the production of the magazine. This magazine has a lot of ads, something that I would not want to include in my issue.
